1. What conditions do I need when purchasing extra baggage?

①The ticket number you purchased must start with “999”. The flight must be marked with CA code and operated by Air China.

②Your flight is a domestic direct flight(View details).Connecting flight is not applicable.

③You must book the service 6 hours before your flight departure.

④You can choose to purchase any of the following quotas: 5KG, 10KG, 15KG and 20KG. Each passenger can only purchase once per flight and at maximum of 20KGs.

⑤ Infant ticket are not applicable.

2. What are the conditions for extra baggage?

①The extra baggage service applies only to general checked baggage, not to special checked baggage or carry-on baggage.

②The total dimensions (length + width + height, including wheels and handles) of each piece of checked baggage may not exceed 203cm/80in and may not be less than 60cm/24in; On domestic flights, each piece of checked baggage cannot be more than 100cm/39in in length, 60cm/24in in width and 40cm/16in in height.

③The weight of each piece of extra baggage must be no less than 2kg/4lbs and no more than 32kg/70lbs.

④Baggage that exceeds 32kg/70lbs weight limits cannot be carried as checked baggage. We recommend that you either unpack and separate your baggage or have it transported as cargo.

1.After completing your payment, please pay attention whether the system has successfully issued your extra baggage ticket number, which is the only reference of successful purchase, and you will also receive an SMS notification from Air China.
2.If there are any changes to your ticket number due to rescheduling or upgrades and you still require extra baggage, please rebook this service.
3.extra baggage can be used only when checking baggage at the check-in counter, and cannot be accepted at the boarding gate. When you check in at the counter, please remind the staff member that you have booked extra baggage service, to avoid double charges.
4.If you need to cancel your extra baggage, please apply for a refund through the original purchase channel before check-in. There is no penalty for refund of extra baggage service.But the extra baggage service cannot be refund based on part of the weight or part of the itinerary.Please buy on demand.
5.If you have purchased extra baggage through Air China website and do not need it when checking baggage, please call 95583-1-5 after your flight to request a refund. Refunds are valid for up to 12 months after purchase.
6.If you need service invoice, please call 95583-1-5 within 45 days after using the service.
7.If there are any policy adjustments in this service, please refer to the system display.
